Time to update your Resume

The only thought that comes to mind with the new advancement of Oracle buying Sun microsystem is that is it high time to update the resume. The possible actions would be to
  • Consider highlighting the Oracle capablities
  • Take any task done in Mysql or any such certification out of resume
  • Know how to use Netbeans ? No use
  • Have worked in J Developer good time to show it off

Anyways Sun chairman Scott McNealy hailed the merger as an industry-defining event. No doubt about it.

Finally after the long wait got the invitation from google and now have my account setup. With some initial roadblocks of not knowing what to do and how to just as if an infant would learn to walk with its first few steps... As a few of us might already know right now the wave is only open as a developer preview and Google actually aims to have this coming up late this year. Better late than Never

           Apocalypse that is to finish off the earth by 21/12/2012 comes at a very short notice that leaves us with little chance for some great plans but I would say its “ Better late than Never ” We all would agree that life is already screwed up beyond the chance of any revival and instead of turning our face away or ignoring all the warnings why not accept it and think about some positive things that could be done. I am not going to give the details on how The world is going to end or numerous signs that point to sure end by 2012 but rather would like provoke your thoughts on how we can plan to approach the inevitable Apocalypse and live life. Top 10 Cloud Vendors

I came across this blog post by Peter Laird ( Blog link ) which I found to be an interesting way to rank the cloud vendors but since this list had been prepared almost 2 years before, I decided to give it a shot now to see how the ranking had changed over time. Based on the methodology used by Peter I did the following : Cleared all browser cookies Ensured I was logged out of Google (to avoid personalized results ) Navigated to the www.google.com search page Typed “cloud computing” in the search box However unlike Peter I did not browse through all the pages but restricted my ranking until I found 10 vendors.
